So we are going over a "once have to purchased" mech game which then was released as FREE as of December of 2007. I have found though however, the original Linux installer to be corrupted from Garage Games website. So with Hen and Peking, I discovered what works, ad how to also troubleshoot it.

Download the installer from From CNR's website *here.* Make Sure to download the Ubuntu *.deb installer.After downloading the package, install the application.
Install libstdc++5
This is a library package that Dark Horizon needs to operate for the game. Unknown to me, the package doesn't install this dependency. Thats fine. We will install libstdc++5 manually.
Click on System
Administration
Synaptic Package Manager
Enter your password
Click on Search
Type in libstdc++5
Right Click on libstdc++5 and click on install
Click on apply
One finished, close the application
Start The Game
From Applications > Games > DH :Dark Invasion Start the game.
Enter in a user name, password. A serial number which is available for free from GarageGames.com (USE THIS SERIAL NUMBER: RYD6-B2AM-6K6C-MRY4)
