What is 5-A-Day? PDF Print E-mail

We, that means everybody, will do 5 bugs a day - every day. With only five bugs that everybody looks at every day, we will cover a lot of ground.


What you can do? That's up to you, your interests and your abilities.

  • If you're a developer, you can help out reviewing patches and getting them uploaded.
  • If you want to just confirm new bugs, you can do that.
  • If you've experience with a certain package and want to triage bugs you can do that and forward them upstream if necessary.
  • If you know your way around Ubuntu quite well, you can help assign bugs to the right package.

    Red Hat not impressed with Microsoft's interoperability plans PDF Print E-mail

    Microsoft announced this morning that it plans to commit to open standards and improved interoperability, but more than a few observers are wary of the software company. Red Hat executive vice president and general counsel Michael Cunningham has joined critics in voicing skepticism of Microsoft's statement. Like the European Commission, which noted Microsoft's long history of empty promises in a statement earlier today, Cunningham believes that real change is unlikely.

    Dell Will Ship Ubuntu in Canada and Latin America PDF Print E-mail

    Yesterday, Dell announced to its customers in Canada and Latin America that the Inspiron 1525n now has the option of shipping with Ubuntu 7.10, as well as with the Canadian models of the XPS M1330n and Inspiron 530. The latter two will ship in Latin America soon.
